How to Measure a Container
Three measurements tell you whether a replacement container will work.
Diameter (or body width), overall height excluding the closure, and neck finish. Add the overflow capacity — the volume the container actually holds to the brim — and you can compare it to the stated fill volume.
For a closure match, measure the outside diameter of the threads in millimetres and count the thread turns: a 28 mm finish with 410-style threads takes a 28/410 closure. When in doubt, send us the part or a photo next to a ruler and we will identify it.
- Body diameter
- Height without closure
- Neck finish in mm
- Overflow capacity
Not sure which container is right?
Send us the product and the fill volume. We will shortlist containers, closures, and decoration that fit your line.
